The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: Primark A/W 2012

It's time for another wonderful edition of my new feature: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly!

Today's post features Primark's new Autumn/Winter 12 collection. Except my title doesn't quite work because I LOVE IT ALL. So, for today, I'm renaming this feature the good, the DAMN good and the not-quite-as-good-but-still-pretty-good. Catchy.

Let's start with the good:

Navy Blouse - £12 // Floral Blouse - £12 // Floral Lace Up Heels - £20
Riding Jacket - Price not stated // Burgundy Jacket - Price not stated // Bowling Bag - £9

I'm a sucker for a pretty blouse so I'm glad to see some lovely ones in Primark's A/W '12 Collection. Especially the first one; the collar features some great detailing and I love the cut out shoulders.
The colour of the burgundy jacket is SO warm and perfect for winter. In fact, I love everything about that jacket so that's definitely a must-buy. Also, a special mention for the bright floral Jeffrey Campbell style heels they're pretty amazing.

Mustard Jacket - £26 // Yellow Peplum Top - £8 // Studded Ankle Boots - £20
Studded Flats - £12 // Studded Black Bag - Price not stated // Sheer Maxi Dress - £15

These are my favourite pieces in the A/W 12 range. I think it's probably because they all look like something that I'd buy in Zara for double the price! The mustard jacket just reeks of Chanel and I'd love to team that with some of the studded accessories to create a classy yet edgy look. For me, those studded black ankle boots are definitely the highlight of the whole collection.

Blue Patterned Trousers - £14 // Pleated Mustard Skirt - £16 // Ombre Blouse -£12

It's great to see such bright colours being used by Primark. Although I probably couldn't see myself wearing these, they'd definitely look great on the right people. The clashing pattern and ombre colours of the last blouse are pretty brilliant!

What do you think of Primark's new pieces? Are there any stand-out items for you?

  1. Probably their best collection yet! Will definitely be buying the mustard jacket- and I hope they do matching trousers with it so I can look totally runway cool :-) xo
